Fubara, Mbah, other ex-PDP Govs attend APC caucus meeting in Aso Rock
Six governors who recently left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) were among those present at the ruling party’s caucus meeting held at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.
The governors, who attended their first APC caucus meeting after defecting from the PDP, are Sim Fubara of Rivers State, Peter Mbah of Enugu State, Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, Pastor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State and Agbu Kefas of Taraba State.
The meeting also had in attendance several former PDP leaders who have since joined the APC. Among them are former Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, former President of the Senate, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, and former Senate President, Senator Ken Nnamani.
The Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, the deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau the deputy speaker, Benjamin Kalu are also present.
The APC serving and former governors, members of the national working committee are also in attendance.
The meeting is being observed by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
President Bola Tinubu arrived at 7:38 pm.
