Trump releases photo captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro

United States President, Donald Trump, has released a photograph purportedly showing Venezuelan President, Nicolás Maduro, boarding a United States military aircraft en route to America.

Trump shared the image on Saturday via his official platform, stating that it was taken shortly after what he described as airstrikes carried out by US forces on Venezuelan territory.

According to Trump, the photograph captures the moment Maduro was escorted onto the aircraft following the military operation, which he earlier claimed resulted in the capture of the Venezuelan leader.

The release of the image has intensified global attention on the unfolding situation in Venezuela, following Trump’s earlier announcement that the United States had conducted a “large-scale strike” against the South American nation and detained its president.

However, as of the time of filing this report, there has been no independent confirmation from US defence authorities, the Pentagon, or Venezuelan officials verifying the authenticity of the photograph or corroborating the claims surrounding Maduro’s alleged capture.

The Venezuelan government has continued to denounce what it describes as foreign aggression, while international observers and media organisations remain cautious, awaiting official statements and verifiable details from both governments.

The development has further heightened diplomatic tensions and sparked widespread debate across global political circles, as the situation continues to evolve.
