Gunmen believed to be herdsmen have once again attacked Otobi-Akpa community in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State, killing at least four people in a deadly midnight raid.
The attackers, who were said to be heavily armed, reportedly stormed the area around 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday, firing gunshots in different directions and forcing residents to run for their lives.
The attack lasted for several hours and claimed the lives of Hon. Ochi Ayedu, Eje Uzu, Alinko and Achibi.
This latest incident comes just months after a deadly assault on the same Otobi-Akpa community, during which at least 13 people were killed, many others injured or reported missing, and more than 50 houses razed.
More to come.
