The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday met with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, to review preparations and coordinate activities ahead of the party’s upcoming congresses and national convention.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting, APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yiltwada said the discussions focused on the party’s timetable, planning activities, and the political environment surrounding the exercises.
Professor Yiltwada explained that the meeting also considered the need for close coordination between the party, the federal government, state governments, and the National Assembly to ensure all stakeholders were aligned.
He added that with the APC’s growing membership, including new governors and elected officials, inclusivity would be a central priority in the upcoming convention and congress processes.
The meeting was attended by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, alongside principal officers of the National Assembly.
Professor Yiltwada noted that President Tinubu shared guidance drawn from his political experience to ensure the party’s preparations remain smooth, transparent, and inclusive.
