FCT elections: PDP Chairmanship candidate in Bwari withdraws for APC rival

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairmanship candidate in Bwari Area Council, Julius Adamu, has withdrawn from the race, throwing his support behind his All Progressives Congress (APC) rival, Joshua Ishaku Musa.

The move comes ahead of the February 21 Federal Capital Territory (FCT) area council elections and is said to follow the intervention of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

Sources suggest the decision is part of efforts to foster unity and smooth conduct of the polls in the area.

Very Nigerian reports that the FCT Area Councils polls is scheduled for February 21, 2026.
