BREAKING: Protest rocks Plateau over deadly Palm Sunday attack
Hundreds of residents in Plateau State took to the streets on Monday morning, defying a state-imposed curfew to protest the deadly Palm Sunday attack that claimed several lives in Jos North Local Government Area.
The protest began at Anguwan Rukuba, the scene of the attack, where demonstrators gathered to express anger over the killings.
Footage from a live TikTok stream obtained by Very Nigerian showed that the demonstration started as early as 9am on Monday, with a large crowd already present at the location.
The protesters, visibly agitated, were seen chanting and demanding urgent government action, insisting that the curfew alone cannot address the recurring violence.
According to the livestream, Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, had just arrived at the protest site.
