Atiku, Obi, Dangote, Ribadu Others attend funeral prayer of El-Rufai’s mother in Abuja (Photos)
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Sunday joined dignitaries at the funeral prayer of Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, mother of former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
Atiku disclosed his presence at the Janazah via a post on his social media handle, where he expressed condolences to the bereaved family and offered prayers for the deceased.
He stated that he joined family members, friends, and associates of the El-Rufai family to honour the matriarch, praying for divine comfort for those she left behind and for her to be granted eternal rest in Aljannah Firdaus.
The funeral prayer was attended by several high-profile figures across the country, including the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani; Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum; and Niger State Governor, Abdullahi Bago.
Also present were former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi; business magnate, Aliko Dangote; former Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambuwal; and former Minister of Communications, Isa Pantami, among others.
The gathering reflected a moment of unity among political leaders and associates, who came together to pay their last respects to the late matriarch.
