BREAKING: FG files fresh 12-count charges against SAN Mike Ozekhome
The Federal Government has instituted fresh criminal proceedings against Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Mike Ozekhome over alleged use of a forged Nigerian passport in a property dispute in the United Kingdom.
A 12-count charge was filed on Tuesday at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court, Abuja.
The charges name Ozekhome as the principal defendant, with Ponfa Useni, son of the late former FCT Minister Jeremiah Useni, listed as the second defendant.
This new filing follows the earlier dismissal of similar charges by the FCT High Court.
The previous case, initiated by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), was struck out after the Attorney-General of the Federation withdrew the proceedings.
The latest development signals the government’s renewed interest in pursuing the matter, though court proceedings have yet to commence.
