BREAKING: PDP NWC holds closed-door talks with Jonathan in Abuja
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by Tanimu Turaki (SAN), is currently holding a closed-door meeting with former President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja.
Turaki, alongside members of the party’s NWC and a few selected state chairmen, arrived at Jonathan’s office in Maitama at about 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, convoyed in six Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs).
Party sources said the meeting is focused on critical party and national issues, including the lingering crisis within the PDP and ongoing efforts to reposition the party ahead of future political engagements.
The sources added that discussions are also expected to touch on broader national concerns, with Jonathan’s experience and influence considered vital to the party’s stabilisation process.
Details of the meeting are expected to emerge later.
