The Secretary to the Rivers State Government (SSG), Benibo Anabraba, has formally resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Anabraba conveyed his decision in a letter dated January 5, 2026, addressed to the PDP Chairman of Ward 1, Akuku-Toru Local Government Area. In the letter, he described his resignation as a “personal” decision and expressed gratitude for the “political leverage gained from the party during the period of my membership.”
While Anabraba did not reveal his next political move, sources indicate that he is likely to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Further details are expected to emerge in the coming days.
