BREAKING: Rivers Assembly rejects four of Fubara’s Commissioner nominees

The Rivers State House of Assembly has rejected four commissioner nominees submitted by Governor Siminalayi Fubara after screening them on Monday in Port Harcourt.

Following the exercise at the Assembly complex, five of the nominees were confirmed by the lawmakers.

Those confirmed are Mr. Tonye Bellgam, Professor Temple Nwofor, Dr. Peters Nwagor, Mr. Lekue Kenneth, and Sir Amairigha Edward Hart.

The screening formed part of the constitutional process required before nominees can be appointed as commissioners in the state.

Those rejected are Professor Datonye Alasia, Mrs. Charity Deemua, Tamuno Williams, and Otonye TKD Amachree.
