BREAKING: Tension as gunmen storm Immigration office in Ogbomoso, disarm officers
Suspected gunmen have attacked an immigration office in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, carting away weapons belonging to officers on duty.
According to reports gathered by Very Nigerian the incident occurred around 10 p.m. on Tuesday in the ancient city.
Sources said the attackers stormed the office and overpowered officers on duty before making away with their guns.
Details surrounding the attack remain unclear as of the time of filing this report, while security agencies are yet to release an official statement on the incident.
A reliable source within Ogbomoso, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, confirmed the incident to Very Nigerian.
However, efforts made to get a reaction from the Public Relations Officer of the State Police command proved abortive as of the time of filing this report on Wednesday.
