BREAKING: “You are a very very stupid old man”, VerydarkMan blast Bayo Onanuga over fake audio

Social media activist, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has responded sharply to comments made by the Presidency spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, over allegations surrounding a viral audio recording allegedly linked to President Bola Tinubu.

In a video circulating online, the activist directly addressed the presidential aide, insisting that citizens retain the right to question government actions and speak freely on national issues affecting governance and accountability.

The response has since generated widespread reactions across social media platforms, with Nigerians sharply divided over the tone and content of the exchange.

However, in the video, VeryDarkMan used offensive language directed at Onanuga, a statement that has further intensified debate online over the boundaries of free speech, activism, and respect for public office holders.

Supporters of the activist argue that his reaction reflects public frustration over governance issues, while critics maintain that his language was inappropriate and disrespectful toward a senior government official.

The Presidency had earlier criticised the circulation of the viral audio, describing it as false and urging that those responsible be held accountable under the law.

The incident has continued to fuel online conversations, highlighting the growing tension between government communication channels and digital influencers in Nigeria’s political space.
