Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Yemi Cardoso, has revealed that the country’s foreign reserves have risen to over $46 billion.
He made the announcement on Tuesday morning during the opening of the Monetary Policy Department’s 20th anniversary colloquium in Abuja.
Mr. Cardoso noted that this marks the first time since 2018 that the country has reached such a level, which could cover more than 10 months’ worth of imports.
More to come.
