Former National Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, Kola Ologbondiyan, has officially withdrawn his membership from the party.

In a letter posted on his X page on Saturday and addressed to the PDP Chairman of Okekoko Ward (09) in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Ologbondiyan thanked the party’s leadership for the opportunities he received during his period of service.

He said, “Let me start by thanking you as well as other levels of leadership in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the opportunities provided for me to serve the party as well as our fatherland, Nigeria.”

He stated that after reviewing his participation in the party, he decided to exit for personal reasons.

“It is now imperative to bring your attention to the fact that I have reviewed my participation in the PDP and came to the conclusion that, for personal reasons, I need to make my exit.

“I have therefore come to a decision to formally withdraw my membership of the PDP, henceforth.”

Ologbondiyan concluded his letter, dated December 5, 2025, by formally notifying the party of his withdrawal extending good wishes to the leadership.

He previously worked as Director of Media and Publicity for the PDP’s 2019 Presidential Campaign Council and has a background in journalism.

He was also an aide to the former Senate President, David Mark, who is now the current chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
