‘Invest more in Nigeria’ – Dangote urges entrepreneurs
Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has encouraged Nigerian entrepreneurs to put their money and ideas into the country instead of looking elsewhere.
Speaking at the Imo State Economic Summit on Thursday, Dangote compared Nigeria to a “scratch card,” saying many people have already scratched theirs and are now enjoying the benefits.
He also praised President Bola Tinubu for taking bold decisions aimed at improving the economy, noting that these policies will create better opportunities for local investors.
He said: “There are very good and bold policies that the government has taken today, the exchange rate, removal of fuel subsidy, and so many other things that the government has put out there.
“But you know that Nigeria is like a scratch card; you only see the good of it when you scratch the card. Some of us who have scratched the card are seeing the results.
“We must thank Mr President for his leadership and policies. And I’m sure that there are so many other policies they are going to roll out.
“One advice that I have is that most of our own entrepreneurs should please invest at home.”
