JUST-IN: Tinubu meets APC Governors behind closed doors at Aso Rock
Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday held a closed-door meeting with governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The meeting, originally slated for the Council Chamber at 4 p.m., eventually commenced around 5 p.m. after it was relocated to the Conference Room of the President’s Office.
Among those in attendance were Babagana Zulum, Hope Uzodimma, Inuwa Yahaya, Hyacinth Alia, Biodun Oyebanji, Peter Mbah, and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, among others.
Some states were, however, represented by their deputy governors.
As of the time of filing this report, the agenda of the meeting had not been officially disclosed.
The engagement comes barely 24 hours after President Tinubu met with the extended leadership of the Senate in another closed-door session at the Villa, where lawmakers hinted that far-reaching decisions were reached on issues of urgent national importance.
Further details on Thursday’s meeting are expected to emerge.
