‘My life now in danger’, ‘I regret my role in ADC crisis’ – Nafiu Bala
A chieftain of the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC), Nafiu Bala, has expressed deep regret over his alleged involvement in the internal crisis rocking the party, warning that his life is now under threat.
Speaking amid rising tension within the opposition platform, Bala said he never anticipated the level of fallout that followed the party’s internal disagreements, insisting that the situation had escalated beyond his expectation and control.
According to him, the unfolding crisis has taken a personal toll.
“I regret my role in the ADC crises. I did not know it would reach this level. My life is in danger,” he was quoted as saying.
The ADC has in recent times been engulfed in factional disputes, with rival blocs accusing one another of sabotage, leadership imposition, and anti-party activities. The crisis has further strained the party’s cohesion as it positions itself ahead of future electoral contests.
While details surrounding the alleged threats remain unclear, Bala’s remarks add to growing concerns over deepening internal divisions within the party and their potential impact on its stability.
