The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kano State has decorated 265 officers and men following their promotions, which were approved by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).

The promotion and decoration were confirmed in a statement by the Command’s spokesperson, SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi.

The ceremony took place at the NSCDC Command Headquarters in Kano, and was led by the State Commandant, Mohammed Hassan Agalama.

He congratulated the officers, describing the promotions as well deserved.

Commandant Agalama said the elevation was in recognition of the officers’ dedication, discipline, and commitment to duty.

He urged them to see their new ranks as a call to greater responsibility and improved service to the public.

He also advised the officers to continue to uphold the core values of the Corps, including integrity, patriotism, loyalty, professionalism, and respect for constituted authority while carrying out their duties.

“The Commandant further warned against acts of indiscipline and unprofessional conduct, stressing that the Command will not tolerate any behaviour capable of bringing the Corps into disrepute,” the statement said.

According to him, professionalism, teamwork, and strict adherence to operational guidelines are key to achieving the Command’s mandate of protecting critical national assets and ensuring public safety across Kano State

The event attracted several dignitaries, including the member representing Wudil and Garko Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Sheikh Abdulhakim Kamilu Ado, who served as the special guest of honour.

Also in attendance were senior officers of the Command, representatives of sister security agencies, family members, and other well-wishers.
