Popular afrobeat sensation Destiny Boy passes away at 22
Popular Afrobeat singer Afeez Adeshina, widely known as Destiny Boy, has died.
Destiny Boy passed away at the age of 22.
The news of his death was confirmed on Sunday, January 18, 2025, after a video showing his lifeless body surfaced on social media, sparking shock and sadness among fans and colleagues in the music industry.
As of the time of filling this report, the deceased body is being transported to Abeokuta in Ogun State for burial.
Very Nigerian reports that the singer rose to fame in 2019 after his Fuji cover of “If” Davido’s hit song.
He announced the birth of his first child in November 2024, on his Instagram page.
