PRP officially receives Baba-Ahmed
The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has officially received former Labour Party vice-presidential candidate, Yusuf Baba-Ahmed, into its ranks.
The party described his defection as a significant boost to its vision of building a reformed and prosperous Nigeria.
In a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Muhammed Ishaq, the PRP said Baba-Ahmed’s decision to join the party signals “a new dawn” and strengthens its commitment to national renewal.
According to the statement, his entry, along with supporters across the country, is expected to reinforce the party’s drive for integrity in governance, improved security, and economic transformation.
The PRP also reaffirmed that its platform remains open to Nigerians who share its goal of creating a just, secure, and united nation.
It urged citizens from all walks of life to rally behind its agenda aimed at addressing the country’s challenges.
Central to the party’s roadmap is its five-point agenda, which focuses on restoring credibility in leadership, tackling insecurity through institutional reforms, revitalising the economy and restructuring the country to ensure fairness and efficiency in governance.
The party emphasised that these priorities are designed to move Nigeria beyond rhetoric to tangible progress, particularly in critical sectors such as education, healthcare and rural development.
