Saka sends Arsenal into 2026 UCL final after 2–1 aggregate win over Atlético Madrid
Arsenal F.C. are through to the final of the UEFA Champions League after a narrow but decisive 1–0 victory over Atlético Madrid in the second leg of their semi-final clash, sealing a 2–1 aggregate win.
The breakthrough came from Bukayo Saka, who scored the only goal of the match, proving the difference in a tightly contested encounter. The first leg in Spain had ended 1–1, leaving the tie finely balanced before Arsenal edged it at home.
The result sends the North London club into only their second Champions League final appearance. Their previous and first final came in 2015, when they suffered defeat to FC Barcelona.
Arsenal will now face either defending champions Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich in the final, depending on the outcome of the other semi-final tie.
More details are expected as the competition heads toward its decisive stage.
