Senate okays Taiwo Oyedele as Finance Minister

The Senate has approved Taiwo Oyedele as a minister-designate in President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Senator Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, announced the confirmation after lawmakers cleared Oyedele through a voice vote at the Committee of the Whole.
Oyedele is expected to take over from Mrs Doris Uzoka-Anite as the Minister of State for Finance, Very Nigerian reports.
A few days after his nomination, the president Bola Tinubu forwarded his name to the Red Chamber, seeking the lawmakers’ confirmation.
