‘The child is not mine’ – Juma Jux denies fathering Tanzanian woman’s child
Tanzanian singer Juma Jux has denied claims that he fathered a child with a Tanzanian woman, saying he has never had any physical relationship with her.
Jux addressed the allegation days after he and his wife, Nigerian actress Priscilla Ojo Mkambala, celebrated the first birthday of their son, Rakeem.
The singer explained that the allegation was not new, but he initially decided not to respond to it.
However, he said he was forced to speak out after the matter began affecting his name, family and businesses.
Jux maintained that he had never been physically intimate with the woman and rejected the claim that he was the father of her child.
Jux said he contacted the woman involved, identified as Musika, to understand why she had made the claims.
“Musika confirmed in her own words and voice that she had never been physically intimate with me nor had a romantic relationship with me,” Jux said.
Jux said the allegation has now resurfaced and the matter has been handed over to legal authorities, adding that further action would be taken against Musika.
He also warned the media and members of the public against spreading what he described as misleading information about the allegation.
Jux said he would handle the matter through legal channels, adding that he had chosen “calmness, truth and the appropriate legal steps”.
