Tinubu arrives in Kigali for Africa CEO Forum
President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of the Africa CEO Forum scheduled to begin on Thursday.
The summit, themed “The Scale Imperative: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership,” is expected to gather African heads of government, global investors, and top business executives to deliberate on strategies for investment, industrialisation, and sustainable economic growth across the continent.
Tinubu arrived at the Kigali International Airport on Wednesday afternoon, where he was received by Rwanda’s Minister of Defence, Juvenal Marizamunda, alongside senior Nigerian government officials.
The two-day forum is expected to attract more than 2,000 participants, including chief executive officers, policymakers, and investors from across Africa and beyond.
This year’s edition will focus on strengthening regional cooperation, expanding integrated markets, and scaling infrastructure development to enhance Africa’s competitiveness in the global economy.
Discussions are also expected to centre on energy transition, industrial expansion, and sustainable development as African economies seek to balance growth with environmental responsibility.
Nigeria’s participation, through President Tinubu and representatives of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), is expected to highlight ongoing economic reforms and the country’s role within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) framework.
The forum comes at a time of global economic uncertainty, with leaders expected to explore practical approaches to unlocking capital, boosting intra-African trade, and accelerating industrial development.
Attention now turns to how discussions at the summit will translate into actionable commitments for deeper economic integration and shared prosperity across the continent.
