Reno Omokri, former presidential aide, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following his ambassadorial appointment to Mexico.

Posting on social media, Omokri described the President as a “man with a heart of gold” and “a most Christlike individual,” praising his capacity to forgive and forbear.

“I sincerely thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, for my ambassadorial posting. Nigeria could not have had a better leader for the present time and for the next five years, by the grace of God,” Omokri wrote.

He pledged his loyalty to both the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and to President Tinubu, whom he described as the custodian of the nation’s constitution. Omokri also acknowledged the influence of his foster parents, Esijolomi and Omerewumi, and expressed gratitude to his latei biological parents and his wife, Hana, for their guidance and support.

Omokri further commended his friend, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, highlighting his impartiality and dedication to the nation.

The former presidential aide noted that his posting coincides with his climb of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, where he intends to hoist Nigeria’s flag, symbolizing national pride. He also referenced Nigeria’s rising global stature under the Tinubu administration, citing the country’s contribution to global GDP, the safe hosting of the 2025 Detty December festival, and the political stability that allows five former Presidents to reside peacefully in Nigeria.

Concluding his message, Omokri reaffirmed his commitment to promoting Nigeria abroad and serving the nation with loyalty, honesty, and dedication.
