JUST-IN: Tinubu meets Akpabio, Doguwa, Oyetola behind closed doors at Aso Rock
President Bola Tinubu is currently holding a closed-door meeting with Alhassan Ado Doguwa, the member representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency of Kano State in the House of Representatives.
The meeting is taking place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Doguwa was seen arriving at the corridor leading to the President’s office at about 7:15 pm, according to our correspondent who observed his arrival.
His visit came about 20 minutes after the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, was seen arriving at the Presidential Villa.
Oyetola’s visit comes a few days after his successor as governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, was declared the winner of the August 15 governorship election in the state.
The purpose of the separate meetings was not immediately disclosed.
Akpabio had earlier arrived at the forecourt of the President’s office at 6:12 pm, with the Information Minister already inside meeting the President at the time of his arrival.
The Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, was also seen at the Villa within the hour, likely ahead of Wednesday’s scheduled Federal Executive Council meeting.
The agenda of the various meetings has not been disclosed.
The Independent National Electoral Commission earmarked August 19, 2026, as the start of official political campaigns ahead of the 2027 elections.
