Tinubu to visit Kebbi for project commissioning, Argungun Festival Saturday
President Bola Tinubu will on Saturday pay a one-day official visit to Kebbi State to inaugurate projects carried out by Governor Nasir Idris.
The planned trip was made public in a statement released on Friday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
As part of his schedule, the President is also expected to attend the 61st edition of the 2026 Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival as the special guest of honour.
The festival is widely recognised as one of Africa’s biggest and most celebrated cultural events, drawing visitors from across Nigeria and beyond.
The festival is traditionally staged along the riverside of the historic Matan Fada and has received global recognition from UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
