Tuchel signs new deal to lead England until Euro 2028
Thomas Tuchel has signed a new contract to remain head coach of the England national team until the end of the Euro 2028 tournament, which will be hosted by the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The Football Association confirmed the development on Thursday, extending the German tactician’s stay less than two years after he was appointed.
Tuchel was named as successor to Gareth Southgate in October 2024 and has since guided England through an impressive unbeaten qualification campaign for this year’s World Cup in North America.
Under his leadership, the Three Lions won all eight of their group matches.
The contract extension signals the FA’s confidence in Tuchel’s leadership as England prepare for major international competitions, including the 2026 World Cup and Euro 2028 on home soil.
