UTME 2026: Step-by-step guide on how to check JAMB results
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the first batch of results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The examination body confirmed on Friday night that candidates who sat for the exam on Thursday, April 16, can now check their scores.
JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, disclosed in a statement shared on X that, for now, candidates are only able to view their scores. He added that the option to print full result slips will be made available at a later time.
The board also issued a strong warning to candidates, cautioning against any attempt to falsify or manipulate examination results.
According to JAMB, altering official result messages is a criminal offence and could attract serious consequences.
The ongoing UTME, which began on April 16, is expected to run until April 22 at various accredited centres across the country.

Step 1: Send a Message to 55019
Using the phone number linked to your JAMB registration, send UTMERESULT to 55019. Make sure you have at least ₦50 airtime.
