Uzodimma names 16 directors to strengthen renewed hope ambassadors

Governor Hope Uzodimma has approved the appointment of 16 directors to oversee key directorates within the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, in a move aimed at boosting the organisation’s efficiency and widening its reach across Nigeria.

Uzodimma, who doubles as the Director General and National Coordinator of the initiative, announced the appointments on Friday.

He explained that the new leadership structure is intended to strengthen the group’s core mandate of promoting the policies and programmes of President Bola Tinubu under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors initiative was conceived by Tinubu in November 2025 as a strategic platform to communicate government policies and achievements directly to Nigerians at the grassroots.

The programme is also seen as part of broader efforts to build public engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to Uzodimma, the restructuring is necessary to ensure better coordination and improved delivery of the organisation’s objectives.

“These appointments are meant to strengthen our capacity to effectively communicate the achievements of the Renewed Hope Agenda to Nigerians at all levels,” he said.

The organisation’s leadership structure includes Uba Sani as Deputy Director General, Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya as Secretary, and James Abiodun Faleke as Deputy Secretary.

It also operates a nationwide framework comprising six zonal coordinators, 37 state coordinators, and 774 local government coordinators, reflecting its grassroots mobilisation strategy.

A statement signed by the Director of Media and Publicity, Tunde Rahman, said the newly appointed directors will oversee 16 specialised directorates critical to the organisation’s operations.

“The appointments are part of efforts to enhance coordination, improve efficiency, and deepen grassroots engagement across the country,” the statement said.

Among those appointed are Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi (Youth), Chief Olisa Metuh (Organisation and Mobilisation), Sunday Dare (Digital and New Media), Mele Kolo Kyari (Finance), and Muiz Banire (Monitoring, Compliance and Legal).

Others include Bisoye Coker-Odusote (Technology and Data), Abubakar Rabiu Abubakar (Support Groups), Ibrahim Garba (Intelligence), Senator Sani Musa (Special Duties), Hon. Simon Karu (Planning), Dr. Halima Suleiman Zakari (Welfare), and Dr. Nnamdi Maurice Mbaeri (Administration).

Also on the list are Bilikisu Muhammed Kaika (Women Affairs), Abike Dabiri-Erewa (Diaspora), and Hadiza Bala Usman (Research and Innovation).

Uzodimma emphasised that the appointments are part of a broader strategy to ensure that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors remain effective in communicating government programmes and engaging citizens at the grassroots level.

“Our goal is to ensure that every Nigerian, regardless of location, understands and feels the impact of government policies and programmes,” he added.

The organisation expressed confidence that the new leadership team will enhance coordination and strengthen its nationwide mobilisation efforts ahead of upcoming political activities.
