The African Democratic Congress chapter in Adamawa State has endorsed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as its preferred presidential candidate ahead of the party’s May 25 presidential primary.
The state chapter said the endorsement was based on its confidence in Atiku’s leadership qualities and capacity to lead the country if elected president.
“Our endorsement is a reflection of our total confidence in his leadership capacity, experience, patriotism and unwavering commitment to the unity and development of Nigeria,” the chapter stated.
Atiku who was vice president between 1999 and 2007, is a son of Adamawa State who hails from Jada LGA but makes Jimeta in Yola North LGA his home base where he casts his votes during elections.
