2027: Even a “corpse” can defeat Tinubu, says Buba Galadima

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Buba Galadima, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu stand no chance of winning the 2027 general elections, insisting that the current administration has “nothing to campaign with.”

Galadima, a former frontline member of the APC and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), made the remarks on Tuesday while addressing delegates at the ADC National Congress in Abuja.

According to him, the Tinubu-led government has failed in its responsibilities and has also allegedly worked to weaken opposition parties across the country.

“The APC and its government have tried to destroy the PDP, the SDP, the NNPP, the Labour Party and indeed the ADC,” he said.

He went further to make a controversial comparison about the 2027 election outcome, suggesting that the ruling party is so unpopular that even an unlikely candidate could defeat the president.

“But what I want to remind them of is that even if there is no living human being in Nigeria, and we bring a corpse, a corpse in a coffin, and put him against President Tinubu, I assure you that that corpse will win the elections in 2027,” Galadima said.

He warned against what he described as attempts to intimidate or weaken the opposition, insisting that resilience and unity would be key to political success in the next election cycle.

“So any attempt to intimidate or to frustrate us, we must stand and say no,” he added.

“It is only our resilience, our boldness and our courage that will deliver us from these mafioso people in government.”

The ADC held its national congress in Abuja on Tuesday, with party leaders using the platform to criticise the ruling APC and project confidence ahead of the 2027 elections.
