Fire guts Polaris Bank building in Lagos

A major fire outbreak has been reported at a commercial building housing a Polaris Bank branch on Broad Street, Lagos Island.
The incident has sparked concern among residents and business owners in the area, with videos and reports circulating on social media showing thick smoke rising from the building.
Although reports of casualties have emerged online, authorities have not officially confirmed any deaths or injuries as of the time of filing this report.
Emergency responders are currently at the scene working to contain the fire and assess the extent of the damage.
Officials are yet to determine the cause of the blaze, while further details are expected as rescue and firefighting operations continue.
