BREAKING: Premier League announces 2026/27 opening-day fixtures
The Premier League on Friday announced the fixtures for the 2026/27 season, with champions Arsenal set to kick off their title defence at home against newly promoted Coventry City.
Coventry, managed by former England midfielder Frank Lampard, face a tough opening test against the reigning champions at the Emirates Stadium.
Manchester City, who finished second behind Arsenal last season, will begin their campaign at home to Bournemouth.
The Cherries played a key role in ending City’s hopes of winning the title during the previous campaign.
Manchester United will start the season with an away trip to newly promoted Hull City, while Chelsea face local rivals Fulham in a West London derby.
The new Premier League season will kick off August 22, 2026.
The 2026/27 season will consist of 33 weekends and five midweek match rounds.

Everton vs Crystal Palace – Saturday, August 22, kick-off 3pm
Ipswich Town vs Sunderland – Saturday, August 22, kick-off 3pm
Nottingham Forest vs Leeds United – Saturday, August 22, kick-off 3pm
Brentford vs Tottenham Hotspur – Saturday, August 22, kick-off 5.30pm
Brighton vs Aston Villa – Sunday, August 23, kick-off 2pm
Manchester City vs Bournemouth – Sunday, August 23, kick-off 2pm
Newcastle United vs Liverpool – Sunday, August 23, kick-off 4.30pm
Fulham vs Chelsea – Monday, August 24, kick-off 8pm
