BREAKING: MRS, Dangote refinery cuts fuel pump price
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has reduced the pump price of petrol by N76 per litre in Abuja and surrounding areas.
A market survey conducted by Very Nigerian on Friday showed that NNPC retail stations now sell petrol at N1,241 per litre, down from the previous price of N1,317 per litre.
The latest adjustment represents a 5.77 per cent decrease in the pump price of the product.
The price reduction comes just three days after the Dangote Refinery lowered its petrol gantry price by N75 per litre.
The refinery’s decision followed a decline in global crude oil prices, which dropped below $80 per barrel.
Meanwhile, Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Ranoil, AA Rano, Empire Energy and other filling stations in the nation’s capital have failed to cut their petrol pump prices despite the drop in crude oil prices and Dangote Refinery’s gantry fuel price slash.
