Published
2 months agoon
An aircraft conveying Nigerians who have been repatriated from South Africa following the ongoing hostility against black migrants has arrived in Nigeria.
The plane landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos on Friday, where the returnees were received by relevant government officials.
The repatriation follows reports of increasing attacks and hostility targeting black migrants in parts of South Africa, prompting efforts to facilitate the voluntary return of affected Nigerians.
Further details on the number of returnees and arrangements for their reintegration are expected from the appropriate authorities.
