Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has appealed to Nigerians for financial assistance as she battles a health challenge requiring urgent life-saving surgeries.

The celebrated actress made the appeal in an emotional video shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, revealing that she has been hospitalised for the past three weeks.

Although she did not disclose the medical condition behind her hospitalisation, Nwosu said she urgently needs surgery and is seeking ₦30 million to cover the cost of her treatment.

Describing the decision to seek public support as difficult, the actress said she could no longer keep her health struggles private.

> “My fans, friends, family and colleagues, this was really hard for me to do, but I can’t keep quiet anymore. I need urgent life-saving surgeries,” she said.

She appealed to fans, colleagues and well-meaning Nigerians to support her financially and also help share her message so it can reach more people.

> “Please don’t scroll past. Share this post and support if you can. God bless you, and may you and yours never experience this affliction,” she pleaded.

Ngozi Nwosu is one of Nollywood’s most respected actresses, with a career spanning several decades. She is widely known for her memorable portrayal of Peaceful Peace in the hit television sitcom Fuji House of Commotion, a role that earned her widespread acclaim.

Since making her appeal public, the actress has received an outpouring of sympathy from fans and colleagues across the entertainment industry, many of whom have called on Nigerians to support her in raising the ₦30 million needed for the life-saving procedures.
