Fire guts Lagos airport terminal, no casualties recorded – FAAN
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has confirmed a fire outbreak at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
In a statement shared on its official X account on Sunday, the authority disclosed that its Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Service (ARFFS) swiftly responded to the incident and was working to bring the fire under control.
FAAN assured passengers and the general public that there were no reported casualties or loss of life resulting from the incident.
“FAAN wishes to inform the public that a fire incident has occurred at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
“The FAAN Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Service (ARFFS) is currently responding to the incident and working diligently to contain the situation.
“There have been no reported casualties or loss of life,” the statement read.
The authority added that further updates would be provided as more information becomes available.
