GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must possess:

  • A good First Degree in the relevant discipline.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Registration with the appropriate professional body (where applicable).

QUALIFICATIONS BY RANK

Position Minimum Requirements Maximum Age
Professor PhD, minimum of 10 years teaching/research experience, strong publication record, postgraduate supervision experience and evidence of attracting research grants. 55 Years
Senior Lecturer PhD, minimum of 6 years experience and good publication record. 50 Years
Lecturer I PhD, good First Degree & Master’s Degree, minimum of 3 years experience and scholarly publications. 45 Years
Lecturer II PhD or Master’s Degree with evidence of PhD progression and strong teaching/research potential. 40 Years
Assistant Lecturer Minimum of Second Class Upper Degree. Master’s Degree is an added advantage. 35 Years

Note: Special qualifications apply to Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy positions.
