FG names Gbajabiamila to head delegation to diaspora investment summit in Canada
Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, will lead the Federal Government’s delegation to the maiden Nigeria Diaspora Investment Economic Conference (NIDEC) scheduled to take place in Toronto, Canada.
The three-day event, themed “Invest Nigeria, Thrive Abroad,” is set to begin on Wednesday.
The conference aims to bring together Nigerians in the diaspora, investors, business leaders, and government officials to explore investment opportunities and strengthen economic ties between Nigeria and its citizens living abroad.
Head of Media, Public Relations and Protocols, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abdur-Rahman Balogun, said in a statement that sending the high-level government delegation to the conference shows President Tinubu’s commitment to promoting trade, investment and economic cooperation between Nigeria and Canada.
Others in the delegation include Minister of Foreign Affairs Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Minister of Trade and Investment Dr Jumoke Oduwole, Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Governors Charles Soludo(Anambra), Babagana Zulum(Borno), Uba Sani(Kaduna) , Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau) and Dauda Lawal (Zamfara).
