Davido fires back as Edo Governor ridicules Adeleke’s dancing
Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has appeared to respond to Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo after the governor ridiculed Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke over his love for dancing.
Davido, who has been actively campaigning for his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, ahead of the August 15 Osun State governorship election, took to his Instagram Story on Friday with what he claimed was Governor Okpebholo’s West African Examinations Council (WAEC) result.

The post is widely seen as a subtle reaction to the governor’s recent comments directed at Adeleke, although Davido did not add any caption or directly mention Okpebholo in the post.
The singer did not attach any caption to the post, leaving followers to interpret the move as a response to the Edo governor’s recent comments about Adeleke.
Okpebholo had taken a swipe at the Osun governor while campaigning for the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, also known as AMBO.
Questioning Adeleke’s approach to governance, the Edo governor said the Osun governor spends too much time dancing.
“Before somebody signs paper, he will dance. Are you not tired? For four years, this man has been dancing. Before he takes breakfast, before he drinks tea, he will dance,” Okpebholo said.
His remarks came as the APC intensified its campaign ahead of the Osun governorship election.
Davido has remained vocal in his support for Adeleke, participating in campaign activities and recently calling for a peaceful and credible election in the state.
The singer’s latest post has now added another twist to the exchange, with his decision to share the governor’s purported WAEC result drawing attention online.
