NPFL: Sporting Lagos sign Usman Mohammed on two-year deal
Sporting Lagos have strengthened their squad ahead of the new season with the signing of goalkeeper Usman Mohammed.
The club confirmed that Mohammed has signed a two-year contract as they continue preparations for the upcoming campaign.
The shot-stopper joins Sporting Lagos from Nigeria National League (NNL) side Sokoto United, where he featured during the 2025/26 season.
His arrival is expected to boost Sporting Lagos’ goalkeeping department as the club looks to improve its performance in the new season.
Mohammad registered six clean sheets in 14 appearances for Sokoto United.
The shot stopper is known for his strong command of the box, good communication, and sharp reflexes.
Mohammad is expected to fight for a starting role in Jeffery Buter’s squad next season.
