NPFL: Sporting Lagos retain Coach Jeffery Buter ahead of new season
Sporting Lagos have extended the contract of head coach Jeffery Buter ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The Lagos-based club confirmed the contract extension in a post on its X account.
Buter led Sporting Lagos to promotion from the Nigeria National League (NNL) last season, earning the club a return to the top flight.
He helped the Noisy Lagosians win the NNL title after finishing top at the playoff tournament in Ikenne.
Buter’s contract extension was in recognition of his hard work in guiding the team to the top-flight after two years absence.
Sporting Lagos will begin the new campaign with a clash against Doma United at the Patami Stadium on Sunday, 30 August.
