First Lady Oluremi Tinubu arrives Anambra for one-day working visit
First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has arrived in Anambra State for a one-day working visit focused on the inauguration of development projects and empowerment programmes.
The First Lady arrived at the Chinua Achebe International Airport in Umueri at about 11:31 a.m. on Thursday, Very Nigerian reports.
She received a warm welcome on arrival, with a cultural troupe entertaining the delegation with traditional dance performances.
Political party supporters were also at the airport to welcome the President’s wife as she began her official engagements in the state.
Receiving the First Lady were several dignitaries, including Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, his Wife, Dr Nonye Soludo, his Deputy, Onyekachukwu Ibezim and his wife; members of the House of Assembly, top government functionaries, among others.
Very Nigerian reports that Sen. Tinubu will launch the National Community Food Bank Programme for the South-East zone in Anambra and flag off the statewide empowerment programme.
The first lady will also visit the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, where she will inaugurate the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) ICT Experience Centre.
