Okoye arrives Super Eagles camp ahead of AFCON qualifier against Madagascar
Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has joined the team’s camp ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Madagascar in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The Udinese shot-stopper’s arrival was confirmed by the Super Eagles in a post on their official X account on Friday, alongside a photograph of the goalkeeper.
Okoye’s arrival adds to the number of players already in camp as Nigeria prepares for the crucial qualifying fixture against Madagascar.
“Welcome, Maduka,” the team posted.
Okoye was the last player to join Nigeria’s 24-man squad after missing the team’s first two training sessions in Uyo.
His delayed arrival attracted criticism after footage surfaced showing him at Milan Fashion Week, where he represented Udinese and modelled the club’s third kit. He was also seen with American rapper Cardi B during the event.
