Carabao Cup Last Eight Confirmed: Man City vs Brentford, Newcastle host Fulham ( Full List )
The Carabao Cup quarter-final draw has been confirmed, setting up exciting clashes for the last eight. Arsenal will take on Crystal Palace, while Chelsea are set for a trip to face Cardiff City, in fixtures announced on Wednesday.
The live draw, broadcast on Sky Sports Main Event following Newcastle United’s 2–0 win over Tottenham Hotspur, also pitted Premier League champions Manchester City against Brentford, with defending champions Newcastle United hosting Fulham at St James’ Park.
All quarter-final matches are scheduled for the week commencing December 15.
Arsenal’s tie against Crystal Palace promises to be thrilling, coming after the Eagles’ sensational 3–0 victory over Liverpool in Round Four.
Newcastle look to continue their Carabao Cup defence, while Manchester City and Chelsea both target a return to Wembley as the competition intensifies.
Round Four saw Arsenal beat Brighton 2–0, Crystal Palace stun Liverpool 3–0 at Anfield, Chelsea edge Wolves 4–3, Manchester City defeat Swansea 3–1, and Newcastle overcome Tottenham 2–0.
