EFCC nab suspended City Boy Movement women leader, Halimat Tejuosho
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Halimat Tejuosho, the suspended South-West Women Leader of the City Boy Movement.
EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the arrest to TheCable on Saturday, stating that Tejuosho is currently in the commission’s custody.
The development comes months after the anti-graft agency declared Tejuosho wanted in April over an alleged fraud case.
The EFCC had urged members of the public with information about her whereabouts to assist the commission in its investigation.
She was wanted for allegedly obtaining money under false pretence.
“She is in our custody,” Oyewale said.
At that time, EFCC said she is from Lagos State and her last known address was House A26, Aso Grove Estate, Maitama Extension, Abuja.
The commission had then asked Nigerians with useful information about her whereabouts to report to its office or the nearest police station.
She is now in EFCC custody as investigation continues.
