Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has dismissed reports suggesting he has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), insisting that he remains a member of the ruling party.

Speaking with journalists on Wednesday, Fubara said there has been no change in his political affiliation, urging the public to disregard what he described as rumours circulating on social media.

“I’m a member of the APC, and nothing has changed. Whatever happens, what is important is supporting the overall interest of the party,” he said.

The governor stressed that his commitment to the APC remains intact and reaffirmed his support for the party’s broader interests.

He also cautioned against the spread of misinformation regarding his political status, noting that such claims were unfounded.
