Fubara hosts Magnus Abe-led Rainbow Coalition reconciliation committee in Port Harcourt
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, on Sunday received members of the Senator Magnus Abe-led Reconciliation Committee of the Rainbow Coalition at the Government House in Port Harcourt.
The APC governorship candidate in the state, Kingsley Chinda, was also part of the delegation that met with the governor.
The visit was aimed at promoting reconciliation and deepening political cooperation among key stakeholders in Rivers State.
The meeting is part of ongoing efforts by political actors in the state to build stronger relationships and encourage greater unity ahead of future political engagements.
This development came a few days after the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, revealed that a reconciliation committee headed by Abe had been set up as part of efforts to consolidate the Rainbow Coalition in Rivers State.
Wike, former Rivers State governor, had pointed out that the committee was constituted to engage stakeholders and foster unity within the coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The development further underscores ongoing efforts by political stakeholders to broaden the coalition and reconcile various interests across Rivers State.
Governor Fubara, who welcomed the committee at the Government House, was joined by other stakeholders during the visit.
